Tina Ghantous Maher has been creatively weaving movement, breath, and meditation into her yoga classes since establishing Moon Rise Yoga ten years ago in the Northeast Kingdom. She strives to bring others into the awakened healing potential of their own power. She is a mother of two, who has been on many journeys. Her background includes yoga, bodywork, herbal medicine, Ayurveda, Shakti Meditation, Shamanic Traditions, and other topics related, and seemingly unrelated. Tina offers yoga and other courses as healing arts, drawing inspiration from life, the land, her ancestry, and the wheel of the year.
Tina had her first transformative yoga experience in 1997, and from that time on she has studied many styles of yoga, in many different places, in between other adventures.
In addition to weekly adult yoga classes, Tina has offered in depth workshops, preschool programs, prenatal yoga, and taught at special events. She has published her writing and guided meditations. She finds yoga to be an invaluable tool for enjoying life, motherhood, and long Vermont winters. Over the years, Tina has taught in Glover, Greensboro, Craftsbury, Newport, at Heartspace Yoga in St. Johnsbury, Open Space in Hardwick, and other locations. She is the mother of two young children, and aims to weave her practice into every moment.
